MacKenzie Bezos, the ex-wife of the Amazon founder recently announced that she would surrender 75 per cent of the couple's shares in the tech giant. While filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Amazon has stated that MacKenzie Bezos now controls only four per cent of the company's outstanding common stock.
According to the Punch, at Amazon's current share price of $1,812 a share, the company would be worth some $35.6 billion.
Whatever made this woman to give away this generous divorce settlement must be something not for public consumption.
According to Forbes, Bezos who holds 16% of Amazon is now worth $131 billion. Very interesting,isn't it?
