I began my IT career somewhere around the year 2000 when the rise of small-scale IT firms that provided basic internet services coloured the IT/Telecom landscape in Nigeria. I consider Enugu in the South-East and Ibadan in the South-Western Nigeria as cradles of IT awareness for me. During the period from 2001 till 2002, I majored at understanding how PCs talked with each other over various media ,such as LAN, Satellite, Fibre,Wireless, etc. I read popular books on Networking and IP address configurations and network boundary planning etc and learned all sorts of 'stateful' and 'stateless' protocols of communication over TCP/IP.
It is over 10 years space now in the IT/Telecoms industry and I have also learned how humans interact with each other over 'Internet of Everything', as well as OTT like Facebook, Google, etc. networks. Humans sit at the topmost layer of the so-called networking infrastructure , applications etc. and are often times missing in the design of these networks. They are intelligent, rational and self-directing entities possessing various mindsets and idiosyncrasies so hard to alter or change.
